Monthly Meeting March 18^th, 2014

MEMBERS PRESENT:

Minutes of last meeting read and approved.

FINANCIAL REPORT: Provided by Steve Milewski

OLD BUSINESS:

• Blue Ridge Sports Association has requested to use our range for a fund-raising archery tournament on April 28^th, 2014. They will use our practice targets and no involvement is necessary from the club.

• Steve Seals has received approval from Cabela’s for sponsorship of our Invitational shoot.

• Decals have arrived, and Steve Seals needs a check for reimbursement.

• Discussed and voted to give out plaques instead of trophies at future shoots. Steve Seals has located a business in Plano that has some good options in our price range.

NEW BUSINESS:

• Discussed the next shoot, which will a club shoot on April 5-6. Charlie Alexander will take care of getting drinks on concessions for that shoot.

• Wayne Meuir will speak with Randy Probst about ordering buckles for the Invitational shoot.

• The ASA organization has stated that each club hosting an ASA event will be responsible for the first day of the shoot, which includes collecting money and score cards. ASA representatives will be present Sunday to handle financial arrangements and present awards..

• Voted to approve the motion for Steve Seals to spend $1000 to purchased refurbished McKenzie targets from Art Brown (http://artbrown3d.com/target_repair.html).

• Mike Jarvis will send out the gate code via US Postal Mail and email to all paid members within the next week.

• Mike Jarvis discussed the possibility of automating the membership process so that signups could be performed online for 2015. Mike Jarvis will research further details for a future meeting.

• Wayne Meuir will contact the vendor for the portable toilets and give them the code to the gate so that they can service the toilets.
